Mazda Australia has confirmed pricing for retrofitting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to all models equipped with the MZD Connect infotainment system.

Owners will need to stump up $494.98 (recommended fitted price) to have the tech added to their car.

The MZD Connect system was first introduced to the Australian market in 2014, meaning some 370,000 vehicles are eligible for the upgrade.

Interested owners should contact their preferred dealer where the hardware and software retrofit process will be completed in several hours.

The BT-50 ute was the first Mazda model to offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard via an Alpine infotainment unit. The recently refreshed CX-9 SUV was the first model to feature smartphone mirroring as part of the MZD Connect system.

Mazda has also confirmed that all new vehicles launched in Australia will have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto installed as standard.
