Peugeot has announced the availability of a 308 GTi Sport variant featuring a more aggressive exterior priced from $42,990 plus on-road costs.
 
Limited to only 20 examples nationwide, the 308 GTi Sport gets a body kit consisting of a front spoiler, side skirt extensions, rear bumper corner extensions, rear diffuser and a rear spoiler ‘Gurney flap’.
 
The car will be offered in three metallic colours: black, Artense Grey and Magnetic Blue.
 
As part of the deal, the 308 GTi Sport also includes a $200 driver training course.
 
Peugeot claims the extra kit represents savings to the customer of $3500.
 
Power comes from the same 200kW 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine found in the standard car, it’s paired with a six-speed manual transmission that drives the front wheels. Peugeot quotes a 0 to 100km/h sprint time of 6.0 seconds.
 
Carryover equipment includes a Torsen limited-slip differential, 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, keyless entry, push-button start and massaging front sports seats.
 
Peugeot’s i-Cockpit consisting of a digital instrument cluster and a 9.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is also standard.
 
Safety equipment includes blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, driver attention alert, high-beam assist, speed sign recognition, city park assist, front and rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera.
