Vehicle recall notices have been issued this week by Volkswagen, Skoda and Mercedes-Benz.

The following vehicles have been recalled due to a production fault which allows a crack in the transmission pressure accumulator to develop over time. This may lead to oil and pressure loss in the hydraulic system of the gearbox which may interrupt engine power and lead to an accident:

2013-2015 Skoda Fabia
2009-2015 Skoda Octavia
2014-2015 Skoda Rapid
2013-2014 Skoda Roomster
2009-2015 Skoda Superb
2013-2015 Skoda Yeti
2009-2015 Volkswagen Golf
2009-2015 Volkswagen Jetta
2013-2015 Volkswagen Beetle
2010-2015 Volkswagen Passat
2010-2015 Volkswagen Polo
2011-2015 Volkswagen Caddy

Skoda VINs found here.

Volkswagen VINs found here.

In both cases known affected owners will be contacted to arrange for a free repair of their vehicle.

Also recalled this week were a number of 2018-2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS vehicles (VINs found here) which may have a fault with the electric line for the power supply of the coolant pump. The line may come into contact with the engine fan which may result in damage causing the engine to stall due to extremely high coolant temperature or the engine to not restart after the shut-off by the ECO start/stop or "glide mode" functions.

Affected customers should contact their preferred Mercedes-Benz dealer to arrange for a free repair of their vehicle.
