Vehicle safety recall notices this week come from Renault and recall-experts Mercedes-Benz.

First cab off the rank this week is a recall notice for 2012-2013 Renault Trafic II vans (VINs found here) that have an issue when excessive load is applied to the steering wheel.

Under these circumstances, the steering wheel hub may crack or break causing steering wheel vibration, noise and loss of control of the vehicle.

Known owners will be notified of the recall and advised to contact their preferred Renault dealer for a free inspection and repair if necessary.

Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall for three 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class vehicles (VINs found here) which have an issue with the software not programmed to the usual specification which is resulting in the headlamp range function working incorrectly. This could dazzle oncoming traffic leading to an increased risk of an accident and injury.

The final recall is for ten 2019 Mercedes-Benz V-Class models (VINs found here) that may have been fitted with faulty head restraints which could see the head restraint padding separate from the securing rods.

In the event of an accident, the exposed rods and missing padding could cause an injury to vehicle occupants.

In both cases, owners should contact their preferred Mercedes-Benz dealer to arrange a free repair of their vehicle.
