The sole recall notice this week comes from Mahindra for 2018-2019 XUV500 seven-seat SUVs which were sold between March 1, 2018, and March 31, 2019.

In some examples, if the driver presses both the brake and accelerator pedals at the same time whilst driving the vehicle can go into ‘limp home mode’ subsequently restricting the road and engine speeds.

Should the vehicle go into ‘limp home mode’, the driver will not be able to accelerate above the safety threshold which could increase the risk of an accident or injury to vehicle occupants and other road users.

Mahindra is requesting affected owners (VINs found here) contact their preferred dealer to have upgraded software installed.
