After a quiet period over the festive season, the first recall notice for 2021 has been issued for the 2020 Nissan Leaf (ZE1).

Affected vehicles (VINs found here) may have the welded joint of the actuator plate fail during use which could lead to the park lock being unable to engage when in Park.

This could allow unintended vehicle movement, leading to an increased risk of accident and injury occurring to vehicle occupants, other road users and bystanders.

Known owners will be contacted by Nissan Australia to arrange for the replacement of the actuator plate, free of charge. Until this can take place, affected owners are advised to ensure the park brake is applied when parking and/or exiting the vehicle.
