Volkswagen Australia has released specifications for the 2017 Golf.
 
Now dubbed Golf 7.5, the range has had extensive equipment upgrades that will only serve to strengthen its value proposition.
 
The new Golf will be officially launched locally in the first week of July. At launch, hatchback, wagon and Alltrack variants will be available with the GTI and R performance versions to follow in August.
 
The most substantial change across the range is the addition of the full tune 110kW/250Nm version of Volkswagen’s 1.4-litre turbo engine to all petrol hatchback and wagon models. The 92kW version has been discontinued.
 
Safety is also at the forefront of the Golf 7.5 with City Emergency Braking are standard from entry level.
 
Pricing is set to be announced in the coming weeks.
