Swedish premium car maker Volvo closed 2018 with increased sales after a strong December preceded by eleven months of continuous growth.
 
National sales data released by VFACTS for December recorded a 30 per cent increase YOY for Volvo after 6693 vehicles were delivered to new homes. This represents a 43 per cent increase in annual sales, the largest recorded by Volvo Cars in Australia.
 
Volvo is emerging as one of the fastest growing new car brands in Australia with a strong line-up including the XC40, XC60 and XC90 SUVs.
 
The SUVs have won a swag of industry awards both in Australia and internationally including the XC60 holding the title of the 2018 World Car of the Year.
 
Volvo Car Australia Managing Director, Nick Connor, commented: "2018 was a stellar year for Volvo Cars, and we are very proud of the strong growth we have achieved over the last twelve months.”
 
"We look forward to continuing our growth during 2019,” Mr Connor added.
