Mercedes-Benz has announced some minor updates to the C-Class range for the 2017 model year.
 
The existing petrol C 250 will be replaced by the C 300 in the sedan and estate models, which boasts a bigger 1991cc, 4-cylinder engine capable of putting down 180kW of power and 370Nm of torque.
 
In the diesel version, the C 200 d will be replaced by the C 220 d for the sedan and estate models, which will also feature a larger engine in the 2143cc, 4-cylinder engine which develops 125kW of power and 400Nm of torque. The diesel engine will now be matched with a 9G-TRONIC nine-speed transmission replacing the 7G-TRONIC PLUS seven-speed transmission.
 
The C-Class sedan and estate four-cylinder range also get, as a no-cost option (excluding C 350 e), the Exclusive Line package. This comprises of interior and exterior enhancements, depending on the model, such as 18-inch, 5 twin-spoke alloy wheels, exclusive ARTICO (C 200 and C 220 d) or leather (C 300 and C 250 d) upholstery, agility control suspension, dashboard and beltlines in stitched ARTICO, brown ash open pore wood and silver chrome trim, and an AIRPANEL radiator grille with adaptive closing function (C 200 and C 220 d).
