New safety and customisation options are at the top of the highlights list for the all-new 2018 Citroen C3 hatch, which will launch with a $26,990 drive-away price until March 31.

Offered in one variant, the new C3 brings Traffic Sign Speed Recognition and Recommendation, a first for the segment.

Another first for the segment is the optional factory-fitted dash-cam known as Citroen ConnectedCAM. This HD camera also connects directly to the Cloud allowing owners to share video and photos from their road trip.

Comfort was an important criterion when designing and developing the new C3 Hatch which has been engineered using the Advanced Comfort programme aimed at delivering increased comfort, well-being and enjoyment for the driver. Wide comfort-oriented seats are one example of this.

In terms of customisation, 33 exterior colour combinations are available from a mix of nine body colours and three roof colour options.

For further personalisation coloured highlights to the door mirrors, fog lamp surrounds, Airbump and rear quarter panels which match the roof colour are also available.

Internally, Mica Grey comes standard with the option of an Urban Red highlights package which brings red seats and dash accents. Also available is the Hype Colorado option with Burnt Orange inserts applied to the dash, seats and steering wheel hoop.

Powering the C3 Hatch is a PureTech 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine that develops 81kW of power and 205Nm of torque. A six-speed automatic, developed by Japanese transmission specialists Aisin sends power to the front wheels.

Managing Director for Citroen Australia, Anouk Poelmann, said “Now more than ever, consumers are looking at how they can stand out from the crowd and how their purchase reflects their individuality and personality. The all-new C3 is just the vehicle for them.

“The all-new C3 is not just characterful and fun, it also features useful technology and segment-first safety features that motorists will use and appreciate daily,” she added.
