Suzuki has confirmed the next generation 2019 Vitara Series II will reach Australian in the first quarter of next year.

The new range will consist of three variants – Vitara, Vitara Turbo and Vitara Turbo Allgrip.

Exterior changes include a new front grille and lower bumper, taillights incorporating LEDs, and a repositioned reversing lamp which now sits centrally in the rear bumper. There will also be new two-tone colour options.

On the inside, there’s a new instrument cluster which houses a colour driver’s information screen.

The new Vitara will also mark the end of Vitara RT-X diesel in the Australian market.

Suzuki Australia General Manager – Automobile, Mr Michael Pachota said: "the introduction of the Vitara Series II presented an opportunity to refine Suzuki’s offering to meet the needs of today’s buyers."

“The Vitara RT-X Diesel has sold in the Australian market for a number of years. But as consumers continue to make greener living decisions we’ve listened to the voices of our customers and made an informed decision to discontinue the Vitara RT-X moving forward.”

Full specifications and pricing will be announced closer to the launch date early next year.
