Audi has confirmed the 2020 Audi RS6 Avant and RS7 Sportback will arrive in Australian showrooms next month.

Priced from $216,000 plus on-road costs for the RS6 and $224,000 plus on-roads for the RS7, both models are set to be available on July 24.

The RS6 and RS7 get power from a 4.0-litre TFSI twin-turbo V8 petrol engine augmented by a 48V mild-hybrid system. Outputs are listed at 441kW and 800Nm, the latter is available between 2100 and 4500rpm.

The 48-volt mild-hybrid system can also recover up to 12kW of power whilst coasting or under light throttle.

An eight-speed tiptronic automatic transmission sends power to the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. The torque is distributed to the front and rear axle in a ratio of 40:60 via an all-mechanical centre differential. According to Audi, up to 70 per cent of the torque can flow to the front wheels and up to 85 per cent to the rear wheels.

Both models sprint to 100km/h from a standstill in 3.6 seconds and max out at a top speed of 280km/h.

On the inside, standard kit includes the dual-screen MMI touch response infotainment system with an RS monitor, Audi’s virtual cockpit with unique RS displays, a perforated sport leather steering wheel, new large RS shift paddles made of aluminium, sport seats in black pearl Nappa leather/Alcantara and illuminated front door sill trims.

A full suite of standard safety systems is fitted including adaptive cruise assist with Stop&Go and traffic jam assist, active lane assist and 360-degree cameras with kerb view.

Additionally, tyre pressure monitoring, an alarm and anti-theft wheel nuts with loose wheel detection are also included.

Eight exterior colour options, including a new crystal effect paint Sebring black, are available on both the RS6 and RS7.

Several option packages are also available for each models including a sensory package, the carbon and black styling package and the RS Dynamic package plus.
