A bright new paint sceme, dubbed Indy Yellow Pearl, will debut on the new Honda NSX during Monterey Car Week.

The heritage-inspired Indy Yellow Pearl pays homage to Spa Yellow one of two yellow paints offered on the first-generation NSX. It will join Berlina Black in the NSX’s heritage palette.

Roughly 20 per cent of NSX vehicles produced between 1997 and 2003 sported the Spa Yellow, which was replaced by Rio Yellow for the final two production years. Spa Yellow was the fifth most popular first-generation NSX colour.

Presently, the MY19 Honda NSX is available locally priced from $420,000 plus on-road costs.

Power comes from a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 engine paired with a trio of electric motors which produce 427kW of power and 646Nm of torque. A nine-speed dual-clutch transmission sends drive to all four corners.

Honda Australia is yet to confirm whether or not the Indy Yellow Pearl will be available to local buyers.
