Mitsubishi has revealed the updated Mirage hatchback ahead of an Australian arrival in the second quarter of 2020.

The Mirage now features the ‘Dynamic Shield’ front design with square grille lines, LED combination lamps and fog lamps, squared bumper corners and L-signature horizontal LED combination lamps that stretch across the width of the car at the rear.

White Diamond has been added to the exterior colour palette, and there are new 15-inch alloy wheels with two-tone diamond-cut styling.

On the inside, the Mirage gets newly designed front armrests, soft-feel cloth trim, and a 7.0-inch infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay.

Mitsubishi hasn't confirmed powertrain details, so it’s likely the 1.2-litre 57kW/100Nm petrol engine will be carried over.

The updated Mirage will be Mitsubishi’s solitary passenger car, locally, the brand is all about SUVs and the Triton ute. It will have work to do in a segment owned by the Kia Picanto.

Full specifications and pricing for our market will be announced closer to the local launch in the second quarter of 2020.
