Specs and pricing have been confirmed for the 2020 Nissan Qashqai range headlined by the addition of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a boost to the standard safety kit.

The range opens at $27,990 plus on-roads for the ST variant which gets the aforementioned smartphone mirroring tech via a new 7.0-inch infotainment system.

ST+ models now feature rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights with high beam assist, fog lights, intelligent driver alert, rear cross-traffic alert and blind-spot monitoring as standard.

The range-topping Ti grade gets an upgraded autonomous emergency braking system that now includes pedestrian detection that operates at speeds up to 60km/h.

Standard features across the range include keyless entry, push-button ignition, electronic park brake, front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, LED daytime running lights, Bluetooth, 60/40 split-folding second-row seating, ISOFIX points and four rear cargo area luggage hooks.

Nissan has added an N-Sport model to the range which gets body-coloured bumpers front and rear with matte silver trim highlights, bodyside mouldings with matte silver trim, body-coloured wheel arches and 19-inch wheels.

There will also be silver-painted caps for the auto folding and heated door mirrors, while inside the headlining is finished in black.

At this stage, the Qashqai N-Sport model is limited to 600 units nationally.

Every Qashqai is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine offering 106kW of power and peak torque of 200Nm. The entry-level ST is available with a six-speed manual, while all other models use a CVT automatic to drive to the front wheels.
