Specs and pricing have been announced for the 2020 Skoda Karoq range ahead of a local arrival in June.

At launch, Skoda will offer the Karoq 110TSI priced from $32,990 plus on-road costs, and the Karoq 140TSI Sportline which starts from $39,990 plus on-roads.

As reported in December, the powertrain changes are a result of demand for the 1.5-litre engine and seven-speed DSG in European markets using the latest Euro 6 standards.

The 110TSI uses a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine that puts out 110kW and 250Nm. It’s matched to an eight-speed torque converter automatic that drives the front wheels.

Powering the 140TSI Sportline is a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 140kW and 320Nm. Drive is sent to all four wheels through a seven-speed DSG automatic.

Equipment highlights on the Sportline include 19-inch Vega alloy wheels, a black-accented body kit, full LED headlights with adaptive front lighting, stainless steel pedals, perforated leather upholstery, a sports steering wheel and the Virtual Cockpit (digital instrument cluster).

The 140TSI Sportline is the second Skoda Australia model to be fitted with a petrol particulate filter.

Buyers can order the updated Karoq variants now with delivers set to commence in June 2020.
