Suzuki Australia has announced specs and pricing for the updated Baleno range ahead of its Australian arrival in August.

The Baleno will be offered in GL and GLX trim levels, both of which are powered by the 1.4-litre 68kW/130Nm naturally-aspirated petrol engine from the outgoing model. It’s matched to a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission.

Styling changes include a newly designed front grille, revised front and rear bumpers, along with fresh hub caps covering the 15-inch steel wheels and a new design for the GLX’s 16-inch alloys.

On the inside, there’s an all-new seat fabric design and colour with a revised door trim colour.

The high-grade GLX also gains UV protection glass on the windscreen, upgraded headlight projectors from HID to LED, plus automatic headlight levelling.

Buyers can choose from five exterior colours - Fire Red, Arctic White, Granite Gray Metallic, Stargaze Blue Metallic and Premium Silver Metallic. It should be noted, the metallic options cost an extra $500.

The updated Baleno GL will be available in August priced from $15,990 plus on-roads, while the GLX will arrive in September priced from $18,990 plus on-road costs.
