The new 2021 Audi A3 Sedan and Sportback have been revealed overnight.

Built on the same platform as the upcoming Golf Mk8, power comes from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing 228kW and 400Nm.

Drive is sent to the variable quattro all-wheel-drive system through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Audi says both body styles can sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.8 seconds and top out at an electronically-limited top speed of 250km/h.

When compared to the standard A3 models, S3 variants ride 15mm lower with an S-specific suspension tune.

Equipment highlights include 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, a bodykit, a unique grille, a large rear diffuser and four exhaust tips.

On the inside, standard kit includes newly designed sports seats, aluminium or carbon-style trim, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Audi’s Australian arm is yet to confirm availability, specifications and pricing details.
