Local specs and pricing have been announced for the 2021 Kia Stonic SUV which arrives to take on cars like the Mazda CX-3.
 
At launch, Kia will offer three trim levels: S, Sport and GT-Line with prices ranging from $22,990 - $29,990 drive-away.
 
According to Kia, the S and Sport variants are optimised for comfort while the flagship GT-Line is tuned for a firmer, sportier ride.
 
S and Sport models are powered by a naturally-aspirated 1.4-litre four-cylinder producing 74kW of power and 133Nm of torque. It’s matched to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission.
 
The GT-Line uses a turbocharged 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine offering 74kW and 172Nm. It’s exclusively paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Slotting underneath the Seltos and built on the same underpinnings as the Rio hatchback, the Stonic measures 4140mm long, 1760mm wide and 1520mm tall, with a 2580mm wheelbase.
 
With the seats up, the boot space is 352L which increases to 1155L with the rear seats folded down.
