Maserati Australia has adjusted its range and lowered prices in an effort to ward off a drop in sales in what is expected to be a difficult year at the business end of the market.

The brand’s best-seller, the Levante SUV will continue to start at $125,000 (all prices excluding on-roads) for a twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 petrol powered variant. The GranSport and GranLusso trim levels have had a $15k price cut to now start at $144,990.

The diesel-powered Levante now kicks off at $129,990 which represents a $10k drop. GranSport and GranLusso Turbo Diesel Levante variants have been reduced by $15k to $144,990.

Moving to the Levante S sees pricing now start at $164,990 with the Levante S GranSport and Levante S GranLusso now priced at $179,990, price cuts of $15k and $10k respectively.

Maserati has dropped Turbo Diesel and the base S versions of the Ghibli sedan, however, the brand will take special orders for the oilers with a price provided for each individual order. This means the entry-level Ghibli petrol is now priced from $139,990, $4k less than before. GranSport and GranLusso models didn’t score a drop and remain priced at $163,990.

With no standard S variant, buyers wanting the more powerful Ghibli will need to opt for either the S GranLusso or S GranSport both of which are priced from $184,990 which represents an $11k drop.

The flagship Quattroporte range loses the Turbo Diesel, base Quattroporte petrol, and Quattroporte S line-up, cutting the range from nine variants to four. Again, these models cut from the range can be special ordered.

Opening the Quattroporte range now is the Quattroporte GranSport and GranLusso which are priced at $224,990. Prices of these variants have dropped by $15k, however, entry to the petrol range is now $10k more.

Unbelievably, the Quattroporte GTS GranLusso and GranSport versions have received a whopping $45k price cut and can now be had for $299,990.

Finally, the soon to be retired GranTurismo Sport costs $295,000 while the MC comes in at $345,000. The convertible variants are priced from $335,000 and $355,000 for the Sport and MC respectively.
