Two vehicle recall notices have been issued this week with both coming from serial recaller Mercedes-Benz.

Firstly four examples of the 2018-2019 Mercedes-Benz SL (VINs found here) are required to return to a dealer as an issue has been detected which may see the front passenger airbag not being sewn in accordance with specifications. This could result in a crack in the circumferential seam of the airbag which could alter the restraint effect and increase the risk of injuries for the front passengers in the event of an accident.

The second recall covers a number of 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE vehicles (VINs found here) which see an issue with the attachment of the trim divider at the rear door windows. The trim divider may separate from the vehicle whilst driving increasing the risk of an accident.

In both cases Mercedes-Benz requires affected owners to contact their preferred dealer for a free inspection and repair if necessary. This should be completed as soon as possible.
