This week recalls have been issued by Volkswagen and Ford for various safety concerns.

Two recall notices come from Volkswagen this week with the first concerning 2020 Touareg vehicles (VINs found here) which may have an issue with the gearbox oil pipe being incorrectly welded causing transmission oil to leak.

The second recall from Volkswagen is for 2017-2019 Tiguan R-Line models (VINs found here) which may see their roof spoiler partially or completely detach due to issues in the bonding process.

In both cases, Volkswagen will contact known owners to arrange a free inspection and repair if necessary.

The final recall notice this week is for 2017-2019 Ford Ranger (VINs found here) and 2018-2019 Ford Everest (VINs found here) vehicles which may have the transmission fluid pump gears fail whilst driving.

Failure of the transmission fluid pump gear may cause a loss of hydraulic fluid pressure in the transmission resulting in a loss of power and increasing the risk of an accident or injury occurring to vehicle occupants as well as other road users.

Ford will contact known affected owners to arrange a free inspection and repair if necessary.
