The lone recall notice this week comes from Porsche concerning the 2019-2020 Cayenne Turbo (9YA) and 2020 Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid (9YA), Cayenne Turbo Coupe (9YB) and Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe (9YB) (VINs found here).

The issue relates to a weakened ‘quick connector’ component on the fuel supply line which may leak at very high engine temperatures. This could lead to a fire in the presence of an ignition source.

Known owners will receive a letter advising of the recall with parts not expected to be available until the end of July. Bookings for the free repair can still be made.

Until the repair is completed, if any scent of fuel is detected from inside the vehicle it should immediately be parked in a safe location and the nearest Porsche Centre contacted.
