Australian specs and pricing have been announced for the 2020 Porsche Cayenne S Coupe.

The S variant is priced from $166,600 plus on-roads and sits between the already announced Coupe and Turbo Coupe models.

Powering the S Coupe is a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 tuned to produce 324kW of power and 550Nm of torque, the latter is available between 1800 and 5500rpm. It’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

For context, the base Coupe offers 250kW while the flagship Turbo variant packs 404kW.

In terms of performance, Porsche claims the S can sprint from 0-100km/h in 5.0 seconds and hit a top speed of 263km/h.

Selecting one of the three optional lightweight sports packages will see the dash to triple figures drop to 4.9 seconds.

Standard equipment includes the Sport Chrono Package, adaptive air suspension, speed-sensitive power steering, metallic paint, 21-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera and a BOSE audio system.

Due to the Coupe body style, rear passengers sit 30mm lower allowing for sufficient headroom. With all the seats in place the boot capacity is 625 litres which can increase to 1540 litres with the rear seats folded down.

All three variants of the Cayenne Coupe range are available to order now with deliveries set to commence at the start of 2020.
