Last week, recall notices were issued by Skoda, Bentley and regular recaller Mercedes-Benz.

Starting with Skoda, MY18 Fabia, Karoq, Kodiaq, Octavia, Rapid and Superb models have been recalled due to an airbag fault (VIN list here).

In some instances, the front driver airbag may not inflate to its fullest capacity fast enough when required. Obviously, if the airbag doesn't inflate fast enough, in the event of an accident there is an increased risk of injury to vehicle occupants.

Skoda issued a second recall notice for MY2018 Kodiaq SUVs. There is a risk that one or several fixing nuts may be missing from the individual rear passenger seat (VIN list).

If the fixing nuts are missing, the seat will not be secured and may not provide adequate protection in the event of an accident.

Skoda will contact owners of affected vehicles to arrange an inspection and repair.

Bentley has recalled 123 examples of MY2018-2019 Continental GT (VINs here). As a result of an improper manufacturing process, the electrical power steering wiring harness may become trapped between the subframe and the subframe closing plate.

If the harness gets trapped, it may short circuit and cause loss of power assistance with a warning to the driver, and pose a fire hazard in limited circumstances.

Consumers should contact their nearest Bentley Dealer to arrange for their vehicle to be inspected and repaired if necessary.

Finally, Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall for the MY2018-19 AMG GT C for an issue with the seat belt. The seat belt may jam in the seat belt guide loop, causing the seat belt to loosen and not retract upon movement.

If the seat belt loosens, the restraint of the seat belt may lose effectiveness, increasing the risk of injury to the seat occupant in the event of an accident. According to Mercedes-Benz, 78 vehicles are affected (VINs here).

Consumers are requested to contact their most convenient authorised Mercedes-Benz Retailer for a free of charge repair.
