Renault Australia is attempting to tap into the brand’s motorsport heritage with the release of the Koleos Formula Edition.

 

The Formula Edition is based on the top-selling Zen variant and adds 19-inch alloy wheels with black centre caps, black exterior mirrors, silver side steps and a Formula Edition sticker on the tailgate. We’re not sure how any of these things link to motorsport, but we digress.

 

Limited to “under 400” units, the Formula Edition is powered by a 2.5-litre 126kW/226Nm petrol engine matched with a CVT transmission that drives the front wheels. The links to racing are strong with this one.

 

Standard kit carried over from the mid-spec Zen includes autonomous emergency braking, faux leather trim, heated front seats, push-button start, dual-zone climate control and a 7.0-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

 

Buyers can choose from three exterior colours - Universal White, Metallic Grey and Metallic Black
