Specs and pricing have been announced for the updated 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage which starts at $14,990 plus on-road costs.
 
Mitsubishi will offer the Mirage in ES and LS trim, both of which are powered by the 57kW/100Nm 1.2-litre petrol engine from the previous model.
 
The entry-level ES is available with a five-speed manual or CVT automatic, while the LS is exclusively offered with the automatic.
 
Standard equipment on the ES includes a 7.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, AppleCarPlay and Android Auto, DAB, Bluetooth connectivity, fabric seat trim, an ambient temperature display, autonomous emergency braking, a rear-view camera and daytime running lamps.
 
Moving to the LS (priced from $17,490 plus on-roads) adds LED headlamps, daytime running lamps and rear combination lamps, 15-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, single-zone climate control, cruise control, privacy glass, a four-speaker audio system, automatic high-beams and lane departure warning.
 
Style-wise, the Mirage now features the ‘Dynamic Shield’ front design with square grille lines, squared-off rear bumper corners, and a rear spoiler with an LED stop lamp.
 
The cargo capacity is 235L which can be raised to 599L with the rear seats folded. The boot also gets a 12V accessory socket and cargo cover as standard.
 
White is the only standard colour, buyers can choose Cool silver, Sand yellow, Cyber blue and Red planet metallic finishes, or Black and Wine red pearlescent paints. All bar the standard white attract an additional $740 cost.
 
The new Mitsubishi Mirage officially goes on sale at dealers on April 6. There is also special drive-away launch pricing for private buyers listed below.
