With the season of merriment upon us, vehicle recall notices from Subaru and Bentley may dampen the festive spirit of some car owners.

A large number of 2019 Subaru Forester vehicles (VINs found here) have been recalled due to the potential for the aluminium positive crankcase ventilation valve to fracture over time. This would allow the engine to draw an increased amount of engine oil resulting in excessive exhaust smoke and unexpected loss of engine power.

Known owners can expect to be contacted and advised to arrange an appointment with their preferred Subaru dealer for a free inspection and repair.

The second recall this week has been issued for a small number of 2017 Bentley Continental Supersports coupe and convertible vehicles (VINs found here). It appears that due to a manufacturing fault the power-assisted steering cooler hose may detach from the stub pipe and cause the hydraulic steering fluid to leak. This may result in a loss of steering control and fire.

Affected owners will be contacted via mail or can arrange for a free inspection with their preferred Bentley dealer.
